Not so different from Final Fantasy XIII for the moment...

Final Fantasy XIII-2 hits the spot much better than it's predecessor. Battles feel much more in your control and the level up system has been made more straight forward. Graphics as usual, are amazing. Some of the best seen on the PS3. RPG's are not to everyone's taste, but if you've tried one before and enjoyed it, then this game is a must.

Despite of a mediocre start, Final Fantasy XIII-2 became more and more interesting, and I'm glad to admit that (eventually), this is better than Final Fantasy XIII.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is absolutely excellent! Everything is perfect, and I really have enjoyed playing it.

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is an excellent sequel and overall a great entry in the series! If you loved the characters and the world of Final Fantasy XIII, but were somehow disappointed with the linearity issues presented in the game, then picking up Final Fantasy XIII-2 might be a good choice. While keeping the game-play basics of it's predecessor, Final Fantasy XIII-2 still finds a way to pack in some improvements. The rhythm of the battles is a lot faster, you're free to evolve your characters the way you want to, you can now befriend, collect and evolve the creatures you fight, through your journey, giving you an extreme variety of choices while you're battling, and the best addition is the huge amount of non-linear quests in this game, which will make you explore a lot of areas more thoroughly. Besides all these things, the story and the soundtrack add a magical feeling to the game. All Final Fantasy fans will love it, and even if you've never played any other Final Fantasy game before, you don't need to be afraid of starting up with this one, since there is a "Beginner's Primary" included, with a summary of Final Fantasy XIII plot. I highly recommend it to avid fans, and newcomers alike.

More dynamic than the previous episode, Final Fantasy XIII-2 doesn't have you getting bored from the first minutes of the introduction scene to the end. The system of combat is quite similar to FFXIII but sometimes you have short interactive scenes where you have to press a sequence of button to get some bonus. The story line is interesting and you don't need to follow a predifined "line", i.e. you can chose to play in the order you want. Definitely a really good new Final Fantasy!

Final Fantasy XIII-2 is really good overall, and I would recommend it to everyone. There is a lot of comedy in it, as well as the impressive story you can expect from a Final Fantasy game. There is a lot of extra content to explore, and the ability to redo levels makes it so much easier. I highly recommend it.
