FF-XIII

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Final Fantasy XIII-2 has better gameplay compared with FF XIII. I like the story style and ending part. The sound effects are also nice and there are some songs I really like. However the 1 point lost is due to graphics compared to FFXIII. FF XIII-2 loses in graphics but wins in gameplay.

Finaly a good final fantasy

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

The precedent version of Final Fantasy XIII was really poor... But Final Fantasy XIII-2 is really better. Quests, choices... all that was missing in the episode XIII is present in this one... A good choice at a good price thanks to Zavvi !

This game is very nice and graphics are awesome, But this game is not for everyone, if you don't like Click & Wait style and strategy, then dont buy this game.

Only if you liked the first.

If you liked Final Fantasy 13 you'll probably like Final Fantasy XIII-2. It's more open, it has stage select, and all of the characters from 13 are in the game (though not playable). The party this time is Lightning's sister Serah, the time traveler Noel, and a monster of your choice. The battles are probably FF13-2's strongest side. They are fun and fast like in it's predecessor. The story is far out there and will not suit everyone. But if you liked FF13 and want more crazy battles, then give this a go.

Good Game

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

For those who played FFXII, the game has get a great improvement, and a new way of gameplay. The pros are the new monster system( Helping in battle), the action in cinematics and now you can travel on time and have more freedom to play. The cons are you can only play with sarah and noah as human players, and the new crystarium system for me is worse than the original.

Amazing secuel

This is a great sequel, the graphics are great, the music, and the story. I like more the story of this sequel than the original one, you can explore the maps and do more things that you can´t do in the original. The game also has text in Spanish, so I can enjoy the story better!.

Kingdom Hearts without Disney

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Final Fantasy XIII had an interesting story, but it was too linear and straightforward. Without NPCs to talk or sidequest until the end of the game. At the end it was a little boring. With Final Fantasy XIII-2 they have fixed some of these issues. You have more sidequests and things to do from the start. The component looting is not as painful as in the last title (remember Adamantaimai farming?) and in general is less time consuming. You have more liberty to choose what to do next, and not a pre-fixed path. As curiosity, the story, time-travel between "worlds", closing portals with artifacts and even the design of Noel are really similar to Kingdom Hearts (even with a Colliseum to do fights) but without any Disney characters. Combat is almost the same as in FFXIII, but adding a third character you can have a monster, each with different roles and crystarium. After some hours of play, you spend more time within the loading battle screen or the results than the fight itself. The music inside the battles is quite good (especially with bosses), but the level song is another story. After a couple of minutes you only want to mute the TV and listen to something else. Graphics are quite good at 1080p. In general, seems an improvement since FFXIII, but the difficulty level is too low, and with weaker story and characters.
