Excellent game, full DLC package, excellent price !!! What more can you want, buy it now while you can...

I ordered this game, but Zavvi sent me the Essentials version isntead of the Platinum one. But it was better! Essentials version includes Spanish text and voices. Great game with all the DLC at a great price!!

Mafia 2: Directors Cut (Platinum) - a good game with all DLS contents. Intresting gameplay with good picture. Happy to buy this edition in Zavvi.

If you like GTA series, you'll love Mafia II. I'm still only at 18 %, but the story looks promising, has variations (just an example: your first mission will be as a WWII soldier, and it is perfectly integrated in the storyline) and is very playable. At the moment, I've been playing in winter months of 1945, so the city is snowy, people walking in the street loses their umbrellas and slide and fall, the cars and music are lovely, the news in the radio fit the USA progress in that final months of WWII... As a plus, I'm Spaniard and the dialogs and subtitles are in Spanish (not the radio news, though, but you get free English listening practice while you play). :-) Some players may argue that cinematics scenes are sometimes too long, but the plot is very catching to me, so I enjoy them. At the sale price it is a must have for me.

2K Czech's Mafia 2: Directors Cut is ambitious in its staging, and the cinematic sequences are sublime. The script puts us squarely in the bad life from the first minute and the missions hardly feel repetitious: there is always a twist or a new situation that tests our expertise with the trigger or flywheel. It has a couple of aspects to be polished, more refined as a control for the action, this would make the adventure almost perfect.

Mafia 2 is one of the best game i have ever played. GTA style open world. Must have game.

With the extra content this game is well worth the money. Not really played it a lot yet but it seems to be very slick. Why everyone tends to buy games on release I don't know, always better to wait until these games come out with all the extras.

Mafia 2: Directors Cut (Platinum) is an outstanding game, despite some of the technical problems of the console versions. It keeps the player hooked in one of the titles that best reflects the environment and the lives of gangsters. It's fun but it does not bring anything particularly new to the third-person action genre, and the parts are usually pretty easy shooting. However, Mafia 2 provides even more variety than usual. It is this that makes it such a good game, with chapters and situations that you won't forget about in a while.
