The Mentalist Season 3

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

A real guilty pleasure, a pretty formulaic crime series, but easily forgivable because of the cast. A great third season building to an excellent finale. A must for any Mentalist fan, or if you are browsing looking for something to fill a few rainy days.

Just Keeps Getting Better

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Season 3 of The Mentalist continues to strongly build upon the storylines set-up in the previous two seasons. With the introduction of new characters, more ruthless criminals after revenge and blood, and of course, the elusive Red John, Patrick Jane and the CBI continue to have their hands full of intriguing cases. Presonally, I think The Mentalist continues to make relatively simple plots all the more intriguing because the main characters are so wonderfully matched and well-rounded. There are some interesting extras and all in all, this is a brilliant tv series boxset. Roll on the release of Season 4.

The Mentalist Season 3 Review

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The Mentalist Season 3 continues the story of Patrick Jane as a consultant for the fictional CBI. The season picks up where season 2 left off sees our ex 'psychic' conman solving murders in an almost hapless pursuit of revenge for the death of his wife and child by serial killer Red John. The season itself is excellent and continues in the same vein as previous seasons putting our protagonist into interesting situations such as solving a murder seemingly committed by his brother-in-law to questioning if he should even be pursuing his nemesis at all. Very good development of the main story arc throughout. Highly recommended.
