God of War: Ascension is the poorest game in the series, unfortunately. It looks amazing but lacks the epic level of previous games. There are some very dodgy camera angles throughout that can make some parts quite difficult to see what is going on, or who you are fighting. It seems they sacrificed the main game to tack on the multiplayer. It's definitely not a bad game but I was disappointed with it compared to the others.
God of War: Ascension is an absolutely great game. It has all the same graphics as previous games. I would definitely recommend them, I've not found a better fighting game that comes close to the God of War games. This is a must play game.
I currently own all of the God of War Games, these include the PSP titles, which I have now got the remastered versions for the PS3 and I have to say that they are fantastic. Now I have God of War: Ascension and have to say I was blown away with the quality of the graphics and yes the game play is just the same as in God Of War 3. It's nice not having to re-learn button presses and moves, you can just get straight into the game and away you go, and they have the standard puzzles which are a great twist to the game. I really love the new Heal and Decay feature. Overall this is another top notch God Of War game. I have not had chance to test the Multiplayer features, but from the sounds of things this will make the game even better, it is what God Of War needed.
line of the first three of the game intact, made the most spectacular game of the series.
I've only played the Multiplayer Beta so far, but this would be the reason I would choose to buy God of War: Ascension (Pre-order: Mythological Heroes Multiplayer Armour Pack). I've played the other games and I like them, but the multiplayer feature brings a completely new side to this game. There are, so far, three modes playable: "Favour of the Gods", "Team Favour of the Gods" and "Capture the Flag". They allow new ways to use the skills and weapons, with a role-playing element to it. I can totally recommend this game to all who liked the other games, but just wanted something like this to show their skills. The multiplayer beta has filled some evenings with fun and fighting.
