The Conjuring is essentially a throwback to horror movies from the 90's, a sort of homage, and it does a wonderful job at that. It is able to convey those eerie feelings a "haunted house movie" used to, back in the days. The fact that it is based on real life events only adds up to it, making it all the more dreadful. The steelbook edition itself is wonderfully done, with embossed title and noose (hanging from the tree), not to mention the scary backside! All in all, a very worthwhile purchase. Highly recommended.

You will certainly find the answer to that watching this great movie. Scares galore come at you even when you know what's going to happen next, this has to be the scariest most jumpy film I have seen. This is an excellent film based on the reports of the Ghost Hunters the Warrens, the fact that these events reportedly happened make the film more scary. Although you will have seen all the scares before in other films , the way they are done here will have you clinging to the ceiling and hiding behind the couch. A definite purchase for any horror movie fans and a brilliant looking and eerie steelbook for all collectors.

The image on the front of the case is a great choice! A very chilling image of the house and tree, with the fully embossed noose being a great touch. The title is also embossed even though that has become fairly commonplace with steelbook now. The back image is also brilliant, if you don't mind removing the info card from the case, but I would strongly suggest you do! This is one of m favourite steelbooks in my collection and would reccomend to anyone!

The only one to get worldwide! While other countries get a poor amaray with awful covers, zavvi offered us an unbelievable steelbook with all the best aspects: no scripts on the back, inside artwork, no awful banners and debossed title with the most beautiful artwork for this movie! You need to own it! The only bad side is the lack of french audio ;-)

Great Horror Movie and great Steelbook!!! Love it!

The Conjuring is the best of the new wave of haunted house/poltergeist/tech-savvy mediums/possessed little kids horror movies flooding the market these days. Genuinely chilling and effortlessly compelling, you will be entranced. This steelbook has evocative images from the movie on the front, back and inside, with good colors and printing. Quality. The blu-ray disc is region free and plays in my North American region-A locked PS3. Excellent release!

This has to be one of my favourite horror movies of all time. It is based on true events and is a chilling, tension filled shock fest of a movie. I highly recommend this to any fans of horror. The steelbook itself is good quality and the sound and picture offered by the blu-ray is of a high standard with a few featurettes as extras.
