I knew it was going to be difficult to adapt Yana Toboso's extremely popular manga which has been adapted before into anime and even stage musicals. But aside from the time period and location change, the movie tries to keep the same vibe of the manga with the detective aspects but also try to keep the supernatural elements of the manga grounded which in my opinion, doesn't work for something like Black Butler. Also other changes that really made no sense like a few reveals that made me question why they did it to begin with when it doesn't change anything and until the end, I almost fell asleep. Not recommended unless you're a serious Black Butler fan and really curious.

The steelbook is good. The movie is Just good and fun

I really liked this film. It's a bit convoluted, it's a bit silly in places. But it's wholly enjoyable, has some exciting action scenes and is a lot of fun. The steelbook is pretty good, not amazing, but at the price that Zavvi have this, if you are a fan of Asian or action films then you should get this.

This movie is so much better than I thought it would be considering they changed so much from the anime. As a Black Butler fan I really recommend to give this one a chance! I personally loved it! And the blu-ray is so good quality and the steelbook is very beautiful.
