“The droid…stole a freighter?”

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Three stars is for the steelbook not the film. I loved The Force Awakens. The front cover of steelbook is great and is why I bought it but why did they put Captain Phasma on back? I don't know...It should have been Rey, with the lightsabers joining up, that would have looked awesome!

Make your own mind up.

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

There seem to be two extremes reviewing this steelbook, 1 star by those who hate the design and 5 stars by those who "love" it. I can fully understand people still purchasing it, but have a slight suspicion that some of these 5 star reviews are from Zavvi employees. I prefer the light side/dark side covers. I accept steelbooks are a cash grab and am happy to indulge, but they have to be more worthwhile efforts than this!

Don't be fooled by the mock-up...

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

The title will only appear on the j-card, NOT the actual steelbook itself, which will remain title-less, by all accounts. I see on a number of internet forums (and in some of the reviews posted here) that many people have been cancelling their pre-orders in favour of either the standard Amaray case edition, or the Best Buy version in North America (being released in the US and Canada), which has the same (albeit rather poor) artwork, but at least has the title on the front AND spine of the actual steelbook. I'm seriously considering doing the same myself, as this would just look so out of place amongst my treasured steelbook collection, and certainly doesn't represent value for money for what is supposed to be a premium edition.

Awful Design

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

1) Weird choice of background colour. Black would have worked better, especially with Kylo Ren and his red lightsaber. 2) No title. 3) Individual posters on the side look out of place. 4) Captain Phasma? Really? Why not the film poster or some exclusive artwork?

Excellent film! Disappointing Steelbook!

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

First things first, I love this film thats why I ordered straight away. I didn't mind Zavvi's mock up design but I own the other Star Wars steelbooks too so I did want it to follow the same design. Unfortunately we got this mess of a steelbook! I actually quite like the cover art of Kylo Ren but I wish the title was on the front! I don't actually mind the picture spine (as I have quite a few of them now) but I would very much prefer a title spine any day! I like the character Captain Phasma but as the rear artwork, NO! You have to at least have the amazing poster artwork on the back! Also, didn't it originally say that it was coming with a bonus disc?! Well now it is no longer shown! LISTEN TO US Zavvi and/or Disney!

Oh Dear

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Love the film. Thought it was great. Well worthy of a fantastic steel that matches the first 6. Oh, hang on, wait a minute...... It doesnt at all. Non consistant artwork and no title on the spine. At least it saved me from paying out for this steel. I'll go with the standard Amary from somewhere that does a slip instead. Cancelled! Stop it with these silly head pictured spines.

"I have a bad feeling about this"

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

What happened? I pre-ordered the day it hit UK cinemas. The mock artwork looked amazing and I was curious how it hadn't sold out like many blockbusters do. Now the final design has been released and I'm disappointed. It doesn't even match the other steelbooks. This is the same as the US Best Buy except they know how to put a title on the front and on the spine. We haven't had a Star Wars film since 2005.So yes, I was expecting to be thrilled when it was revealed. I'm cancelling my order and I shall patiently wait for the 4K Ultra HD.

Artwork?

Hope NOT this Will be the final artwork! Hate it!

Please don't let that really be the artwork!

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

If that really is the artwork then I'll have to cancel too. The original placeholder artwork looked great, this is just terrible. Even if it was the same price as the standard blu-ray, I wouldn't consider buying it, never mind at nearly double the price. It's obvious the person who green lit this is not a fan of the films or steelbooks, sigh!
