Decent enough movie all the plot holes aside. the worst Star Wars steelbook art work by far compared to the embossed previous 6 recently released

Let me start by saying that I love the film. I saw it numerous times in the cinema and I'm very happy to now own it. I also want to express that this steel book is quite beautiful. So why such a low score? Simply because Zavvi had decided to plaster an enormous price on this piece and lie about it. This steel book is NOT a Zavvi exclusive. This is the standard steel book made available by Disney. I was appalled to find (after preordering for a huge sum) that this isn't even the full package. For the price you would expect it to be in 3D, but it isn't. Still, Zavvi playing this off as one of their exclusives is horrible. I love the exclusives that come through this site. They look great and are unique for collectors myself. This one is quite easy to find, and for much cheaper than offered here.

It turns out the European version of this steelbook on top of all other terrible things also gets an ugly matte finish. This steelbook is now officially as bad as it can possibly get.

Cancelled my pre-order because of such an UGLY artwork which is also lazy! Why would i spend more on the steelbook when the standard blu ray looks better in its normal plastic cover, not only is disney fleecing us with no 3D till later, but this artwork does nothing for anyone buying the release now...

No 3D until the Ultra HD 4k release? And the lazy uninspired steelbook artwork = pass. Cancelled my preorder.

Well, you have to give the, credit for changing the artwork and I thank them for that but it was the spine which was bothering the fans the most. Just the name of the film 'Star Wars The Force Awakens' would have done otherwise it would look out of place within the collection of other steelbooks. Thank you

This artwork seems like a punishment for forking out more money for a steelbook. I will have to find a way to cancel my order...

I would much prefer the original movie poster artwork! All that colour and design would look wonderful on a steelbook but no, instead we get this awfully bland and dull image! Will be cancelling pre-order in hope of finding a much more appealing and pretty design!

Admittedly, I do want to see how the final product looks, but from the pictures given, this is far from decent. At least the original mock image had the freaking title on the spine, and the (by my opinion) beautiful film poster on the front. That one would have at least SOMEWHAT matched the previous steelbooks released by Fox. The Best Buy (US) version has the same art, which really isn't the problem i have with it, but also the title on the front AND spine. Theres also something about the cover that just looks a bit more... refined? I don't know, but it's more appealing to buy than this one. I'm eager to see if anything changes as we approach the release date. Maybe, by some magical feat, it will look more like the US version. Doubtful, but one can dream...

I hate these picture spines like on the marvel steelbooks. I'm going to cancel my order.
