Worst artwork that could have been chosen for this release. Please use the artwork everyone wants. Even if it takes longer, the fans would rather wait than have this terrible choice of art
Why have Disney decided to go what that artwork being that it doesn’t correspond with a new hope ? Major own goal guys.
Everything has already been said and written before, probably the biggest disappointment of a steelbook ever.
Let's deal with the elephant in the room: yes, the artwork Disney chose for this release is truly bad. And what's worse, it breaks the continuity of the entire trilogy set. But as annoying as it is, it's not a reason to skip on this 4K edition, which is indeed the best presentation of this great sequel, with a fine looking steelbook. I cannot ignore that Disney (again) and whoever remastered the movie, could've put more effort in preserving the original filmic look; instead this 4K disc shows a very clean and soft picture that hides the grain and some details most of the time. Take it as a missed opportunity, but once you aknowledge that, you'll enjoy the movie better than ever in UltraHD, especially with a more balanced color grading than what you saw in the previous formats (dvd, blu-ray). Another reason to pick this up is also the inclusion of almost every bonus content from all the previous releases.
Well I don’t think I need to say anything on probably one of the best sequels to hit the cinema ( alongside godfather 2 ) plenty of extras that weren’t on previous releases, if you got a uhd tv and player the picture quality is the best you can get. Seriously I’ve compared it against the Disney+ 4K version and the disc beats it for picture quality. I know that at first there were complaints about the choice of covers, they chose the teaser poster over the actual movie poster like they did with ANH and ROTJ but to be honest it fits in nicely with the other two. If you can get it it’s a must buy.
The best of the trilogy. Great to see it in glorious 4K. I wish the cover was different though. As everyone else has already written.
Great steelbook for my collection of the Starwars movies in Zavvi Steelbook exculsive collection. Ive managed to order/pre order them all. Very happy with them and worth having Red carpet access so not to miss out.
Great Steelbook, I love this new line of Star Wars steelbooks as they all fit together nicely. The only downside is that there appears to be some manufacturing errors as there have been issues of spine slashes and scratches on the Steelbook, however this issue has been raised and I am sure it will be put right for future releases
My favourite all time Star Wars move, easily the best sequel of all time, love the old school design of the steelbook, will be proudly displayed in the mancave
As a stand-alone release I’d let this design slide but as part of an otherwise matching set of 9 Steelbooks I find this choice in design questionable; or do I? They can put anything out because no matter what it is guaranteed to sell it’s Star Wars and maybe this was a test to see what they can really get away with. Even after all the backlash nothing changed. Inside artwork and disc artwork is cool.
