
New York, 1929: A war rages between two rival gangsters, Fat Sam And Dandy Dan. Dan is in possession of a new and deadly weapon, the dreaded 'Splurge Gun'. As the custard pies fly, Bugsy Malone (Happy Days' Scott Baio), an all-round nice guy, falls for Blousey Brown, a singer at Fat Sam's speakeasy. His designs on her are disrupted by the seductive songstress Tallulah (Double academy award winner Jodie Foster) who wants Bugsy for herself.

I bought this because two of my boys were doing a stage version of Bugsy Malone at their school and they hadn't heard of the film. I was their age when the film came out and they loved it as much as I did then. It's interesting to see how some familiar faces started out as child actors. Overall a great fun film.
