In 1974, Stephen King published his first novel, the story of Carrie White, a troubled young girl, bullied by her peers and daughter to a fanatical fundamentalist mother, who discovers she has telekinetic powers. In 1976, it became the first of his works to be adapted for the big screen and, to this day, remains one of the very best.
Carrie marked Brian De Palma's arrival as a major director, following smaller cult films such as Sisters, Phantom of the Paradise and Obsession, and provided a key early role for Sissy Spacek (Badlands), one that would earn her a Best Actress nomination at the Academy Awards. Piper Laurie would also pick up a nomination, for Best Supporting Actress, as Carrie's mother, while future stars such as Amy Irving, John Travolta and Nancy Allen were give their first major parts in a big-screen production.
Restored in 4K from the original negative, this collector's edition provides the definitive release of a horror classic.

I love Carrie, its the first horror film I saw and what a scare at the end! I love it Having a copy in my collection now is great and especially as its now got this Zavvi steel book release. Carrie White is a troubled girl and her problems get only worse as she is bullied at school and has a difficult (understatement) mother!! The iconic scenes in this movie will stick with me forever and Sissy Spacek is incredible and yes John Travolta is there in an early movie apperence The Steel book looks great, the artwork is stunning a great edition to my collection
Another great steelbook by Zavvi would recommend this as it’s a great movie by a great author Stephen King and one of his first adaptations by a great director Brian de Palmar and a cult classic, not much to say about the movie that hasn’t been said already other than the transfer and remastered to 4K on this blueray disc is fantastic quality can’t really ask for more Arrow has done a great job with this and the art work on the steelbook is beautifully designed an ideal gift for a collector or for yourself to enjoy.
What a lovely surprise. The steelbook art attracted me for the purchase, but what was brilliant was the clarity of the movie and excellent extras. Delivery was swift and in mint condition.
I purchased this at a reduced price and the online images do not do the steelbook the justice it deserves. It looks amazing in person and I wish more steelbooks were of this quality, great release of a classic film.
This is a really striking design. Love it. Mine came with an interesting booklet from Arrow. Well worth buying, a really nice package.
Arrived undamaged. Great artwork and great price also
Im a big fan of 70s and 80s Movies but i can honestly say that, I Have Never Seen Carrie Until Now.... What a Fantastic Film... The Steelbook is Brilliant as are all the Arrow Releases Well Worth a Watch and a Worthy Addition to Anyone's Steelbook Collection
Very nice design - glossy go lad finish. It’s rare to get a gold steelbook, reminds me of the one released for The Devil’s Double.
