In 1940, during the Battle of Britain, rookie pilot Peter Penrose is assigned to serve with Flight Lt David Archdale at RAF Station Halfpenny Field. By 1942 David has become acting C.O. but Peter is beginning to show signs of combat fatigue a situation that David cannot leave unresolved.
