Tropic Thunder

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

One of the funniest films I have seen in ages, not laughed so much since seeing Naked Gun for the first time. Robert's expression in some of his sceens were just brilliant. A must movie for when your feeling a little glum and need cheering up! 10 out of 10 The only let down was when I tried to put this movie onto my digital collection, as it was advertised as digtal copy + blu ray, and there was no digital copy, bummer.

Great cast, hilarious story and oh yes... Les Grossman! This movie really gave me sore abs, I laughed so much. I watched it the theater and now own it on BluRay. You want some funny? Buy this one.

Marvelous

Tropic Thunder [+ Digital Copy] is a brilliant and affectionate take on Vietnam War films of the '60s and '70s that doesn't take itself seriously at all! Great cast and a wonderful cameo from Tom Cruise as the foul mouthed studio boss! Thoroughly recommended.

Solid fun

I managed to miss Tropic Thunder when it was released in cinemas but heard good and bad reviews. It is definitely a film that you either love or hate, but I love it although it's not going to be to everyone's taste. The picture quality (on Blu-ray) is superb. The cast commentary is funny, and they also poke fun at films produced by studios today. A negative: the Blu-ray release is far too long, I believe the cinema version was quite a bit shorter.

Thunder in my pants

Look amazing in bluray. The explosions and all the jungle scenes look great in this blueray copy. The movie is a great laugh and Downey Jr and Tom Cruize steal the show. I can’t wait for Tom's character to get his own film from this, which apparently is in the works. Everyone needs a good comedy in their collection and this should be one of them.
