On the pages of comic books, Marc Spector fell into the career of a mercenary, selling his services to the highest bidder. However, his fate changed forever when his peer Raoul Bushman killed an archaeologist in the presence of the man's daughter. His moral compass challenged, Marc fought Bushman and sustained fatal injuries.

After retreating to a recently unearthed tomb, he drew his final breaths in the shadow of a statue modelled after Khonshu, but he was supernaturally revived moments later. To atone for his life of violence, he takes on the mantle of Moon Knight, using his unique skills against those who terrorise the night.

Spector's crime-fighting persona is recognised by a fully white outfit and a series of moon-like accessories, including the distinctive crescent darts.
