Deadpool 3 Casts The Crown Star Emma Corrin As The Villain

Production on Deadpool 3 is gathering steam, with a major new cast member added.

Ryan Reynolds took to Twitter today (Tuesday 14th February) to announce that Emma Corrin, best known for playing Princess Diana in season four of Netflix’s hit drama The Crown, will be joining him and Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in the movie.

Deadline reports that, whilst Corrin’s part hasn’t yet been disclosed, it is a major villain role.

In his post, Reynolds said: “New addition to the family! The Deadpool family, for clarity. Which is just like a real family except with less swearing… Welcome, Emma Corrin!”

Corrin’s casting comes exactly a day after it was announced they had joined the cast for director Robert Eggers’ (The Northman) eerie reimagining of Nosferatu, alongside Lily Rose-Depp, Bill Skarsgård, Nicholas Hoult, and Willem Dafoe.

2024 will be the year of Corrin, it’s safe to say.

As for Deadpool 3, not much is known about the plot, but the MCU’s first R-rated movie is rumoured to be a time-travelling romp in which the multiverse fully breaks open, resulting in the Merc With A Mouth becoming a fixture in the central Marvel timeline.

Deadpool 3 arrives in UK cinemas on Friday 8th November 2024.
