Se7en - WB Steelbook
Se7en is one of those films that paved the way for the darker and ever-more nihilistic police thrillers. At the time of its release, its director, David Fincher, was still starting to establish his mark as a director and this could be considered his breakthrough to the big league. It contains gloomy, rainy images almost throughout its runtime and they are remarkably well presented in this 4K transfer. There's more gory detail visible that you might wish for, actually. The steelbook is very simplistic in its design but fitting the nature of the feature very well in my opinion. It is a bit of a disappointment to have seen the planned collector's special edition cancelled, but this is edition is of very high quality. Thanks to Zavvi for delivering it in a reliable way including the robust packaging to keep the steelbook safe. Thanks also to Warner Bros. who have raised their game on the physical media market in the past 6-9 months; many excellent remasters like the recent Clint Eastwood classics which are clearly setting the benchmark in 1970-80 films presented as new 4K UHD releases! Zavvi have these landmarks in their catalogue, too, as one can imagine. :)

Dark and sinister
The transfer looks great. It's a shame an Atmos soundtrack wasn't added but to be fair they've already spent a lot of time redesigning the sound for the home (see extra giving examples) Still, it hurts the blu ray features is 7.1 as well as a 5.1. Hmmmm. No new extras but it has always been loaded. Nice steelbook, love the front.

Se7en Steelbook
One of my all time favorite film. Perfect condition, steelbook is perfect. Didn't go to Zavvi for a while, because of their performance I'm gladly to go back to them again. Thanks again

Brilliant service from Zack as usual. Top notch 4k transfer and a stunning steelbook cover. The film has lost none of its power and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into making this release look as good and sound as good as it does. Highly recommend.
