Godzilla - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook

3

OK the film is a bit of a turkey! But I remember watching this when I was younger and wanted to see it again. Especially with the new Godzilla reboot doing so well at the minute. This hasn't aged very well unfortunately and is no where near as good as I remembered. But the the Blu Ray PQ is awesome and the Steelbook itself is very nice! 3 out of 5 for the overall package.

Scrubs up so well

I bought this to add to my "Emmerich films in steelbook" collection, and had never seen one of the new "Mastered in 4K" films. Well, I was blown away. The transfer is amazing, even without a 4K display, and really kicks the film up a few notches. For me, thoroughly enjoyable and well worth buying.

Godzilla in 4K rulezz

I had the pleasure to compare the original BluRay release from 2009 and the second edition (mastered in 4K), released in 2013. The difference is really huge, as the new master has much better colors, sharpness and details. I am really glad that Zavvi decided to use the newer master for their Steelbook edition. It worth to buy.

Size does matter

Owned on vhs,DVD, DVD Superbit,BLU RAY,and now 4k mastered BLURAY.And I tell you what that I'm not disappointed. I've compared shots from regular BLU RAY to 4k master and I did that on 1080p TV NOT 4k or UHD. Despite regular BD pq is very good, 4k mastered got deeper blacks, details are more pronounced and colours are closer to original 35mm gamut. All that because Sony using for all 4k mastered editions 40% higher nitrate and best possible 4k masters!Enjoy!

This is one of my fav films from when i was a kid. it looks excellent mastered in 4K. Note: The Disc print is the same as the 2009 bluray, but it is indeed the 4K bluray, i loaded it into my ps3 and it states Mastered in 4K, so dont worry ;)
