Hana-Bi (Fireworks)
This is a superb release of an excellent piece of work by Takeshi Kitano (aka "Beat Takeshi"). Not only does this tale of police corruption and yakuza dealings have some truly impactful scenes of violence, but it also has some astonishingly beautiful scenes, including postcard perfect landscapes, and paintings, which the HD transfer captures beautifully. An ideal presentation of a film by a modern master of Japanese cinema.
