Spartacus - Gods of the Arena
Fantastic Series, Captured here in Blu-ray for your viewing pleasure anytime. I watched the series religiously whenever I could (often 2AM due to work), it has a perfect mix of fight sequence's, drama and mystery. For all those people who Roman Empire era or even mythological type series. You will no doubt enjoy. At this price too I can't recommend it highly enough!

Excellent Prequel to Spartacus great action and new characters such as Batiatus father & Gannicus the top Gladiator. It shows how Crixsus is acquired and other stories hinted at in the first series this adds so much more background of how the house of Batiatus managed to gain favour in the gladiatorial games. The action looks so much better on blu-ray in HD also a bonus 3D the Epic ring of fire battle if you have a 3D TV.

Just Amazing!!!
I had watched Spartacus blood and sand and loved it. Gods of the Arena came about due to the illness of Andy Whitfield (godspeed on a full recovery), so in essence, this isn't part of the Spartacus: Blood and Sand story, but rather a prequel. The show, is different, and yet the same. We've still got Quintus and Lucretia constantly plotting against all that gets in the way of their devious pursuits of fame and power. In addition, we get the back story of Oenomaus, Crixus, and Ashur, who play important roles in the Blood and Sand series. We also get to see the building moral decline of Quintus and Lucretia through their association with Gaia (with one Hot Jaime Murray), and the seedy elements she brings to the House of Batiatus. There are plenty of twists and turns that will keep the viewer guessing, and most often they don't turn out the way one would expect.

Turely the stuff of Legends
If you are into action, great story telling, excellent production and a little historical truth, then this really is a must see at all costs dvd!!!! It is amazing, in every regard and well worth every penny. Years from now, people will ask if you were lucky enough to own a copy of this modern masterpiece and you will be ashamed if you say no. Well worth the investment!!

Wow what an excellent addition to the already fantastic Spartacus- blood and sand. Sound quality is amazing aswell as of course the picture quality on this Blu-Ray set, just loved it hope there will be a second series of Spartacus- Blood and Sand after the very sad passing of Andy Whitfield .
