Music changed
I received my copy of The Take today, only to be horrified to find out that the intro has been changed from the perfectly fitting Kasabian - Club Foot to something that sound like the heavy metal intro music on an MTV prank show. A few other songs have also been changed, totally ruining the feel of this amazing British gangster drama. Very very disappointed.

The Take, Hardy at his Best
The Take is dark, twisted and brilliant! If you want a nice, feel good 3 hours in front of the HD tele then DO NOT buy this. This is powerful and shocking. Hardy shows off his diversity as well as his English roots. It has a great cast and a great story. It's top draw. For this price and on Blu-ray, you can't go wrong!

The Take
The Take is easily the best of the Cole series transferred to film. It's a riveting drama with Hardy pulling out a terrific performance and the supporting cast is incredible too. Definitely one to watch. It's saturated in the feel of the melancholy '80s. However, I'm not sure how many times you will watch it as once you have seen it, it is enough to have watched it the once. Great value for money, this deserves a re-run on TV. Awesome.

great british drama
The Take is British drama at its best, with an outstanding performance from Tom Hardy as he's just released from prison. Freddie jackson aims to stamp his mark on the criminal underworld. This is a must see if you enjoyed Martina Cole's novel.
