Zavvi - The Home of Pop Culture

Considered one of Alfred Hitchcock’s greatest cinematic achievements, Vertigo is a dreamlike thriller from the Master of Suspense.

Set in San Francisco, the film creates a dizzying web of mistaken identity, passion and murder after an acrophobic detective (James Stewart) rescues a mysterious blonde (Kim Novak) from the bay and must unravel the secrets of the past to find the key to his future.

Recognized for excellence in AFI’s 100 Years...100 Movies, Vertigo is a “great motion picture that demands multiple viewings” (Leonard Maltin’s Classic Movie Guide).

A bit plain on the front cover

Could of used more pictures like on rear window

Another great Hitchcock steelbook

They need to keep bringing these out, as the artwork on these are amazing.

good movie

the quality of the steelbook is fantastic

Excellent version

Really good presentation for this classic movie

VERTIGO Steelbook

What A great film I have watched it three times and I pick up something new each time. I do wish the film title was on the front of the steelbook and that you had a booklet on the back with the barcode on it so that it can then be placed inside the steelbook instead of that flimsy paper that always creases or rips when you try to open the steelbook, but that is picking. I give the film 5 stars but the steelbook a 3 could do better.

Outstanding Transfer

This film looks pristine, the previous bluray was good, but this 4k takes it to the next level. I really like the steelbook with its metallic finish, it fits in with the style of the film. Just wish there were a few new extras, as these seem to be the same as previous releases. Overall its a 9/10

Universal's obsession with titleless steelbooks

The film is ever so excellent, looking forward to see it in 4K. But what is with Universal and their obsession to release 4K steelbooks for the European market without titles on the front cover (The Sting, Backdraft, Vertigo, Rear Window,..) while the US counterparts of these very same steelbooks feature titles on the front. These titleless versions are being and have been released also elsewhere in Europe.

I used to love my Spirograph ...

For anyone perplexed by the graphics on this one then that is the original promotional artwork for the film; used on posters, lobby cards etc. I've never thought it to be particularly wonderful but it's very much of its time and authentic.
