Not your average comedy
Do not go in expecting a 'laugh-a-minute' kind of comedy, this is dark. If you look at other reviews for 'Young Adult', you will see that a lot of disgruntled viewers were expecting a snappy little comedy in the same vein as 'Juno', which is definitely not the case. Charlize is amazing. She is underestimated because of her beauty but she is a wonderful actress (please go and see 'Monster' if you haven't already). The way she plays the character of Mavis is spot-on, leaving you cringing in all the right places. One of my favourites!
