A good solution for a family
I needed Office 2013 for work, and already had Office 2010. I considered buying the product outright, since ultimately that would be cheaper than an annual subscription, but then it turned out my son needed a copy, as did my wife's ipad. This turned out to be the best solution by far. Plus we appreciated the greater skydrive storage, and monthly Skype minutes. Keycard arrived within days. Plugged the code into the existing trial version of Office 2013 and the activation was approved within seconds. No uninstall needed, or reinstallation. Very simple.

Cheapest way to renew
Microsoft Office 365 is by far the best Office suite from Microsoft yet. The licence to use it on 5 computers makes it one of the cheapest options available for a family with multiple PCs and laptops. It even enables you to use a light version on a smartphone and tablet in addition to the home equipment. It comes complete with SkyDrive which means you can access important documents from any PC or your smartphone. Buying from Zavvi saves you even more as they are currently the cheapest provider of the one-year licence pack.
