This DVD is brought to you live from the Royal Albert Hall, and celebrates 75 years of the classic MGM film musicals, featuring songs from The Wizard Of Oz, Meet Me In St Louis, Singin' In The Rain and more. Despite all the original orchestral scores being lost, John Wilson and his orchestra has reconstructed each one by time consumingly rewriting them by ear. These painstakingly reconstructed songs, such as "Get Happy" and "Lover Come Back To Me", were performed by various talented vocalists, such as Sarah Fox and Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy), and the night was an absolute delight, making it the highlight of the 2009 BBC Proms season.
