Bridesmaids is the side-splittingly funny romantic comedy film that took the box office by storm, and has been coined as the female version of The Hangover.
The film stars Kristen Wiig (Paul, Whip It) as the dishevelled and unhappy Annie, who after losing her dream job, boyfriend, and all her life savings, clings to her childhood friendship with Lillian, played by Maya Rudolph (Grown Ups, 50 First Dates). Following the announcement of Lillian’s engagement, Annie is faced with the huge pressure of proving herself not only as the best friend, but as the Maid Of Honour. Annie soon finds herself in a state of competition with Lillian's brand new richer, prettier friend Helen (Rose Byrne: X-Men: First Class, Insidious) who constantly attempts to upstage her.
As the rivalry between the two heats up, hilarity ensues as Annie train wrecks her way through all of her, and Helen's, pre-wedding arrangements for Lillian: from giving the entire bridal party explosive diarrhoea, to getting them all kicked off the plane on the way to Las Vegas.
