After a child is accidentally killed in a gang shooting, a group of women led by Lysistrata (Teyonah Parris) organize against the ongoing violence in Chicago's Southside: They will withhold sex from their men until they agree to lay down their arms. Lysistrata's lover, rapper/gang leader Demetrius (Nick Cannon) - nicknamed "Chi-Raq" - retaliates by intensifying his feud with gang lord Cyclops (Wesley Snipes).
