Stephanie Beacham takes the title role in a drama of intrigue set in the cut-throat world of the rag trade. Eight years ago, Connie 'retired' to Greece to run a taverna with a local Adonis. Now, her return to her native East Midlands and the industry she loves sends ripples of fear through the dingy offices of her former rivals; they all guess, correctly, that she wants a slice of the action. But who will give her the all-important toehold? Her family and friends are no help and what nobody knows is that although Connie came back on a first-class ticket, she got off the plane wearing a simple cotton dress, nursing a bandaged hand and clutching a handbag containing nothing but tissues, a lipstick and ten drachma.

If a sentimental journey through 80's fashion, hairstyles, and drama is what you long for, then look no further than this iconic take on the rag trade and all it's web spinning. Looked for it for years but the feeling was it would never be put on DVD. Thank goodness it was, and this was the only place to find it. Many thanks.
