One of TV's longest-running crime dramas (only Law And Order would surpass its record-setting 12-year run), the 1970s television series Hawaii Five-O captivated audiences with its smart and stylish take on the standard policier formula. Filmed entirely on the Hawaiian archipelago, the action-packed series followed the crime-fighting adventures of an elite state-police squad anchored by quintessential tough guy Steve McGarrett (Jack Lord) and his detective team of Danny 'Danno' Williams (James MacArthur), Chin Ho Kelly (Kam Fong), and Kono Kalakaua (Zulu). Almost singlehandedly rewriting the book on police dramas, the series distinguished itself with intricate plotting, inventive cinematography, exotically beautiful locations, and, of course, an indelible theme song and timeless catchphrase ('book 'em, Danno!'). The iconic show's seventh series is presented here in its entirety.

I bought this for my mum who was a huge fan back in the day, she's got the previous series and was hankering for more. Only one problem: 'the sexy chap from the new series puts Jack Lord to shame... he's so ripped!' - my mum, 70. I feel so proud!

Classic Hawaii Five-O
Season 7 of this classic series. No computers, but real live characters, a good plot in each episode, colourfull scenery, all on Hawaii, what else can you wish for? This 6 disc collection brings us another 24 episodes of this classic series, with a leading role for Jack Lord, one of my favourite actors of all time. Some extras are also included, same as on the other packages, i.e. some episodic promos. 5 Stars out of 5 , though some extras on the making of etc would be more then just welcome. If you´re a child of the sixties and the beginning of the seventies, like me, this one, along with the others seasons should be an absolute must. For people ordering from The Netherlands, like myself, mind that there are no Dutch subtitles available. So all all, start collecting this classic series. A real MUST.
