They Killed his Family. Now Justice is his Vengeance.
Clyde Shelton (Gerard Butler) is a family man whose wife and daughter were brutally murdered during a home invasion. When the killers are caught, Nick Rice (Jamie Foxx), a hotshot young Philadelphia prosecutor, is assigned to the case. Against his will, Rice is forced to offer one of the suspects a light sentence in exchange for testifying against his accomplice. Fast forward ten years. The man who got away with murder is found dead and Shelton coolly admits his guilt. Then he issues a warning to Rice: either fix the flawed justice system, or key players in the trial will die. Soon Shelton follows through on his threats, orchestrating from his jail cell a string of spectacularly diabolical assassinations. Rice finds himself in a desperate race against time facing a deadly adversary who always seems to be one step ahead.

CRACKING
This is the film of the year if you ask me - way too many twists and some cracking action. It aint gonna win any Oscars, but its one hell of an entertaining ride. 5 out of 5

Worth Watching
Where do I start ? I loved the story which is the simple tale of a man seeking justice after his family is murdered during a random attack at their home. As the plot unfolds it soon devolpes in to a deeply layered stratergy in which Gerard Butler (Clyde) plans his revenge for the injustice served on those responcible for destroying his life. The cast and the acting are great, with a fast, action packed story, laced with some strong and bloody violence it does make you wonder just how far you would go yourself for revenge. My only negative is it does tail of a bit towards the end where the director hurries through the conclusion. All in all a good film and well worth watching.
