Vero (Marie Gallain), a pathological liar and precocious 14 year old, is taken on the sacred annual holiday to beautiful Mauritius by her estranged and over protective father (Gerard Depardieu). Rather than enjoy the beauty or entertainment, Vero, tries to find herself a boyfriend by pretending to be older, wearing revealing dresses and not calling her father "Dad".
