RAILWAY ROUNDABOUT
This is a collection of extracts from the original series. The quality of film throughout is very good considering the age of the recordings. My biggest issue when viewing the collection was the non stop commentary that masked much of the locomotive sounds. The commentary might have been relevant 50 years ago but nowadays enthusiasts are much more informed. An option to "silence" the commentary would have been useful. I watched part of the bonus disc and found the section on the Somerset & Dorset to be full of inaccuracies. I recognize these were the thoughts of Pat Whitehouse at the time, but a shame they had to be included. The set does not include any sleeve notes to indicate what is on each disc. Overall good value and I will certainly watch the set on future occasions.
