Car Wash is an earthy, irreverent but affectionate look at a typical day in a Los Angeles car wash. An ensemble piece which interweaves the lives of employees, customers and passersby. Car Wash stars a gallery of gifted actors, most of whom are relatively unknown to movie goers and spotlights an array of guest stars in vivid cameo roles, including George Carlin, "Professor" Irwin Corey, The Pointer Sisters and Richard Pryor as Daddy Rich, a flamboyant Reverand who preaches the goodness of the dollar.
Stir Crazy:
Would-be playwright Skip Donohue (Wilder) and would-be actor Harry Monroe (Pryor) should be on the road to success.
But along the way to seeking their fortunes in California, they get stranded in Arizona. Hired to dress as woodpeckers for a bank promotion, Skip and Harry are mistaken for bank robbers and find themselves thrown behind bars. The result is over-the-top comic fun from Pryor and Wilder. Directed by Sidney Poitier and featuring JoBeth Williams, Georg Stanford Brown and Craig T. Nelson in supporting roles, Stir Crazy is inspired lunacy from start to finish.
Brewster's Millions:
Could you spend $30 million in 30 days and have nothing to show for it? That's exactly what Richard Pryor has to accomplish in this hilarious contemporary version of the classic big money comedy.
Montgomery Brewster (Pryor) is a down-and-out baseball player who discovers that he's the only living relative of an eccentric multi-millionaire (Hume Cronyn). Monty stands to inherit £300 million, but only if he can spend $30 million in a single month without acquiring any assets, if he fails, it's back to zero again.
See No Evil, Hear No Evil:
Meet Wally and Dave. They're as opposite as two buddies can be. Wally (Richard Pryor) is brash, loud-mouthed and blind.
Dave (Gene Wilder) is quiet, mild-mannered and deaf. Both of them are individual disaster zones. But together... they're even worse!
