Together, they must protect her son John (Edward Furlong) - the boy destined to lead the freedom fighters of the future - from the deadliest machine ever created, the liquid metal T-1000 (Robert Patrick).
Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines
A decade has passed since John Connor (Nick Stahl) helped prevent Judgment Day and save mankind from mass destruction. Now 22, Connor lives "off the grid" - no home, no credit cards, no cell phone and no job. No record of his existence. No way he can be traced by Skynet - the highly developed network of machines that once tried to kill him and wage war on humanity. Until... ...out of the shadows of the future steps the T-X (Kristanna loken), Skynet's most sophisticated cyborg killing machine yet. Sent back through time to complete the job left unfinished by her predecessor, the T-1000, this machine is as relentless as her human guise is beautiful. Now Connor's only hope for survival is the Terminator (Arnold Schwarzenegger), his mysterious former assassin. Together, they must triumph over the technologically superior T-X and forestall the looming threat of Judgment Day...or face the apocalypse and the fall of civilization as we know it.
Terminator Salvation
Set in post-apocalyptic 2018, John Connor (Bale) is the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

quality entertainment
Ive just bought this box set because I couldnt say no when I saw how much all four films in one set cost. As with previous reviewers I agree the 1st two films arent just good they are inventive, ground breaking, timless and movie magic and worthy of any film collection no matter how serious about collecting you are. The first film is 25 years old and is so good you would never guess to look at it, it left any sequal a big pair of boots to fill. The special effects were and still are incredable which considering the film is 18 years old is a testiment to just how good a follow up movie this is. After the overwhelming success of the first two im not supprised this didnt meet the same high standards. Dont get me wrong it is a good film and really enjoyable, its just not as good as its two older brothers After the third movie I was really nervous about this film, but surprise surprise it was really good. Not as good as 1 or 2 but still a top film, Christian Bale plays an excellent John Conner. Over all as i mentioned earlier you get a whole lot of film pleasure when you buy this box set.

One of the best quadrilogys around
I grew up with the Terminator films. I started to sneakily watch them on video when I was young, then went to the cinema to watch the latest two films. This is a great way of getting all four films in one boxset. Don't get me wrong, all four films are brilliant, but the first two are slightly better. Whether its nostalgia or not I'm not sure, but the last two films aren't quite a gripping in terms of storyline as the first two. Having said that, they are still two brilliant films, and when added to two phenominal films, this is a superb boxset.

Worth it for the first couple alone
The first two Terminators were revolutionary and really drove Science Fiction to a new level and made Arnie the superstar of the 80's (bigger than Cruise - maybe not but it's close). The third was a real dip, the female terminator was a good touch and the actress suitably stunning but the story was a bit of a damp squib. Four is more of a return to form with Christian Bale bringing his normal intensity and certainly makes me look forward to number five.
