Further excellence from Gervais and co.
It might be Gervais' name that wins this series it's followers but the show would be more aptly titled the Karl Pilkington show, as it is Pilkington, not Gervais, who is the real reason the podcasts, and now the TV series, is such a success. Pilkington is an every man, both distant and relatable at the same time. Gervais and Merchant do a great job of keeping momentum going but much of the humour is derived from Karl and his misinterpretation of the world or his misguided views. I keep returning to this series again and again as I find the conversations fascinating and hilarious in equal measure. The animation is fantastic too, giving a further level of humour. In this series, particularly, the level of detail is noticeable. I really like the visual references throughout referring to previous episodes. A superb watch and highly recommended.
