Sir David Jason's first return to BBC comedy since Only Fools and Horses!
After a life of service in the army, Captain Guy Hubble (Sir David Jason) finds himself put out to seed as a car park attendant at Buckingham Palace. That is until he is surprisingly promoted to head of Royal security after first endangering, then miraculously saving, The Queen's life. Hubble's boss, Colonel Whittington, is not amused. He is desperate to see the back of Hubble; he knows only too well about his long line of botched operations and relentless mishaps.
Captain Guy Hubble is a walking disaster, and the fate of the Royal Family now rests in his hands.

BBC comedy back to it's original
This would have to be one of the funniest comedies in years. Sir David Jason gets back into a very funny role and shows us just how good his comedy timing is. It takes me back to the golden years of comedy such as Some Mothers Do Ave Em. It develops hilarious settings just right for David's character to take control of. I couldn't stop laughing through all 6 episodes. If you're a fan of classic, good clean fun, then this is the comedy for you. Very safe, family fun

Sir David Jason Back in the Comedy Saddle
Sir David Jason channels Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Laurel and Hardy, Jaques Tati and Mr Bean. The Royal Bodyguard takes Sir David Jason back to his comedy roots as a bumbling Parking Park Inspector who inadvertently saves the life of HRM and is appointed to the role of Royal Bodyguard. He is totally inept and leaves a trail of destruction, disgruntled diplomats, frustrated senior Whitehall bureaucrats and in a perferct homage to Peter Sellers, his increasingly disturbed and slightly psychotic Whitehall appointed minder. Throughly enjoyed the DVD, laughed and cringed in equal measure, as Captain Hubble blythely wrecks havoc and mayhem,but always comes out on top.
