You play Adam Jensen, an ex-SWAT specialist who's been handpicked to oversee the defensive needs of one of America's most experimental biotechnology firms. Your job is to safeguard company secrets, but when a black ops team breaks in and kills the very scientists you were hired to protect, everything you thought you knew about your job changes
Badly wounded during the attack, you have no choice but to become mechanically augmented and you soon find yourself chasing down leads all over the world, never knowing who you can trust. At a time when scientific advancements are turning athletes, soldiers and spies into super enhanced beings, someone is working very hard to ensure mankind's evolution follows a particular path.
You need to discover where that path lies. Because when all is said and done, the decisions you take, and the choices you make, will be the only things that can change it.

Mechanical augmentations of the human body have divided society between those who can afford them, and those who can't. Choose your playing style and face the consequences of your actions: you decide how the story unfolds.
The Augmented Edition boasts features the same exclusive mission as the Explosive Mission Pack, 10,000 extra credits to buy or upgrade weapons, plus a Huntsman Silverback Double-Barrel Shotgun, the SERSR Longsword Whisperhead silenced sniper rifle, the Linebacker G-87 multiple shot grenade launcher, an Automatic Unlocking Device and the M-28 Utility Remote-Detonated Explosive Device (UR-DED). If that’s not enough, the Augmented Edition also contains an exclusive bonus DVD featuring a 44 minute making of special, game soundtrack, motion-comic (adapted from DC’s official series) plus the E3 trailer and animated storyboard plus the edition will also contain a 40 page art book.

A Worthy Successor!
Eidos Montreal and Square Enix do not disappoint! (Props to NIXXES as well for the PC functionality). Right from the opening 20 minutes I could tell the game was going to be awesome. Everything about it is so reminiscent of the original, yet it plays as it's own game. What's more important is the 'feel' of the game, it FEELS like I'm playing Deus Ex and that's what counts. The visuals are amazing, the sound equally so especially the games soundtrack! The gameplay is truly a breath of fresh air, a thinking mans FPS with a decent amount of RPG elements thrown in, if you're used to playing FPS games and haven't played the original or any of the Thief games then you're in for a treat. Easily in the top 3 games to come out this year. Must Buy!!
