The game is based on the immensely popular Japanese shonen manga and anime series One Piece, written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda, and was created to celebrate the franchise's 15th anniversary.
Step into the shoes of One Piece's young protagonist Monkey D. Luffy once more, the captain of a disorderly band of pirates that call themselves the Straw Hats that can't go a day without discovering a brand new adventure. Face hordes of pirate and Marine enemies as you sail all around the globe, experiencing moments from all different parts of the series, from Orange Town through to Marineford. Encounter both new and familiar characters from the franchise, as well as both new and old lands.

Sharp Artwork and Great Fun
One Piece: Pirate Warriors summarised into one word would be, adventurous. It is precisely that. You play through the arcs and collect items/upgrades for each of the straw hats and continue to do so for the majority of the game. It is very similar to Unlimited Cruise series on the Wii but with the added bonus of the graphics on the PS3/X360. As a hardcore One Piece Fan it is a must have in my collection but from a gaming point of view, it can get repetitive and boring. The characters all maintain their personalities and the translations/dubs are fantastic. Artwork as I said, visually stunning and addictive to some. The online addition is fantastic, it brings out the essence of the anime which is Nakama or if you like, friendship and it is so-so in terms of activeness. I enjoyed the game a lot but I can see why people may dislike it, after already playing Unlimited Cruise. It has the same mechanics and style but all the graphics, fight motions, and controls are a lot more fluid and appealing. It's definitely a game you can pick up over and over again because it is quite long if you do everything within it. In short, it's a great game. It may be monotonous at times but it's only one bad point in front of so many positive features. As a fan of One Piece it is definitely a must have!

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is one of the best musou games. The plot is very faithful to the manga, but unfortunately there aren't two important sagas. (Thriller bark and Skypea) but the rest is perfect. You have the ability to use the most powerful attacks of the characters, just like in the manga, but mostly you can use two great characters: Ace and the great White beard. The type of game is very simple, but at the same time you can have fun for hours without getting bored. I recommend it to everyone - 5 stars.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors is an exciting game where you can deal with thousands of enemies. This is recommended to all fans of One Piece and gender musou. It starts with the main diary where you carry out various sagas with Luffy. This being finished, you can choose to play the sub-scenarios with the other characters (Zoro, Nami, Sanji, etc ...), unlocking various moves and costumes. This is an exciting game that over time may be monotonous like all games of the genre musou. Do not be afraid, you will find many things to occupy your time and if you get tired, there's always the online multiplayer. However, I repeat, this is a game faithful to the anime. I would recommend this to all fans of One Piece. I'm having so much fun playing it!

Awesome game!
As a big fan of One Piece I'm amazed of how good they've captured the spirit of the series! One Piece: Pirate Warriors is very well made, with great graphics that even Oda was very impressed by, plus a fun soundtrack and more! It is really a great game for fans of the series and I'm pretty sure many others can enjoy it too. I would recommend this.

I would say that One Piece: Pirate Warriors is awesome for the One Piece fans but but not that much for the ones who don't know the story. I'm sure that Pirate Warriors 2 will fix this problem.

If you're in the market for a good brawler on the PS3 you'll have a good time playing One Piece: Pirate Warriors. The optional 2 player split-screen co-op is a great feature and definitely increases the overall value of the disc and there's also the over the top action which makes this a worthwhile purchase for anyone who likes a good beat em' up. This is recommended.
