Lots of Multiplayer Fun
I'd say Beijing 2008 was a solid 7/10. Each event has been lovingly recreated with excellent graphics and intuitive control systems that are varied enough to make each set of events feel individual. The trigger release system for the sprints and swims is an excellent new addition to the standard button mashing that would normally be the only aspect of these events. This game really comes into it's own as a multi-player game. Whether you play over live or with a few mates this is a great game for some quick competitive action, although everyone will get a sore arm if played for over an hour. There are some down points, Judo is a joke event, completely pointless. When you do the Decathlon or Heptathlon you get different charcters for each of the events which is odd and would have been very easy to fix. Also you can't name your start height for the high jump and pole vault and have to accept or reject each height starting from the lowest. To be honest though these are only minor problems, if you get a hold of it on the cheap you won't be disappointed.
