CHANGING THE LANDSCAPE OF ACTION SHOOTERS

This game had promise, from the 'non-stop test of reflexes', to the 'decision making' and even the 'action'. The storyline of an epic conflict that ravaged a country subsequently leaving it barren and in anarchy at the mercy of a new even more powerful enemy to take control builds up much suspense; Although this game has all the ingredients to be a good shoot-em-up, sadly however paraphrasing from the blurb the players 'Reflexes and senses' ARE put to the test as the controls are sluggish and at times laboured and unresponsive - which could be a real issue in the multi-attacker shoot-outs when the turning speed means that you cant even see who has shot and inevitably killed you. There is no other game I have played which can rival such an abysmal controller response... The graphics are poor - almost like something seen on the original xBox, the AI is almost non existent with opponents and allies - they run into walls, get stuck on or IN objects and I have even seen one run THROUGH a wall. When climbing ladders its not one at a time... it is a jumble of arms, legs, heads and guns - good for a laugh but not for a game released in 2009. The reason for a 2 star rating is the scenery views from the top a a building (if the controls dont fail) can be excellent.
