Allowing the story to branch out into different directions, giving players the power to play an alternative history based on their choices.
- New and returning characters. DW8 offers over 70 playable characters, with returning fan-favorites and new members to the series – including the highly anticipated officers Yue Jin and Li Dian from the Wei Kingdom.
- A New Landscape. Taking further inspiration from the landscape of ancient China, Omega Force gives a stronger emphasis to the setting of these epic battles. 40 new stages have been created, with verdant plains, sharp ravines, desolate wastelands and towering castles just the start of the breathtaking settings!

Dynasty Warriors 8 (Includes Pre-order DLC Costume Pack) is the most satisfying and complete Warriors game yet, dethroning the excellent Warriors Orochi 3. Its at once familiar and fresh, instantly recognisable at its core yet subtly transformed by intelligent additions and a series of small but noticeable tweaks. Wider changes may come in future installments, but if this is the last we see of Dynasty Warriors in its current form, then its a hell of a way to bow out.

Improvements
Compared to the last few titles of this franchise Dynasty Warriors 8 is a million times better! New features include a rock, paper, scissor system so each character has an advantage and disadvantage against a certain enemy and also several what if scenarios, so for example what would of happened if Guan Yu didn't die at Fan Castle? This is a great game for old and new fans of the Dynasty Warriors series, I would strongly recommend it. Warning, it's very addictive!

Amazing!!
This is a brilliant game and series. I've played them all since DW2 and they improve on gameplay and visuals each time. It has a unique game mode and What-if scenarios that move away from actual history. Didn't want to stop playing it; it's a must buy for those of you that are still "on the fence" about this game. Zavvi also where really cool. I preordered this game which arrived on the day of release here in the UK, which is awesome.

Better than before
Have to say playing the first one all those years ago on the playstation really brought back memory's of hours being spent on each battle now with the graphics all the updates like character movement new weapons the built in empire mode (ambition mode) I have to say well worth the money last years was a disappointment but number 8 has got to be the best of the series with hundreds of characters to see an most to play.
