Payday 2 is an action-packed, four-player co-op shooter that once again lets gamers don the masks of the original Payday crew: Dallas, Hoxton, Wolf and Chains - as they descend on Washington D.C. for an epic crime spree. The new Crimenet network offers a huge range of dynamic contracts and players are free to choose anything from small-time convenience store hits or kidnappings, to major league cyber-crime or emptying out major bank vaults for that epic Payday.
While in D.C., why not participate in the local community and run a few political errands? Up to four friends co-operate on the hits and as the crew progresses the jobs become bigger, better and more rewarding. Along with earning more money and becoming a legendary criminal, comes a new character customisation and crafting system that lets crews build and customise their own guns and gear.
Features:
- Crimenet: The dynamic contract database lets gamers pick and choose from available jobs by connecting with local contacts such as Vlad the Ukrainian, shady politician “The Elephant” and Mexican drug trafficker Hector, all with their own agenda and best interests in mind. Crimenet features dozens of varied, exciting jobs and as the player progresses, new contacts with new jobs become available.
- Choose Your Profession: As player’s progress they can invest in any of four special professions: the Mastermind, the Enforcer, the Ghost and the Technician. Each features a deep customisation tree of associated skills and equipment to master and they can be mixed and matched to create the ultimate heister.
- Payday Loot: Finishing a job isn’t just an accomplishment to be proud of. After a successful heist gamers will also earn rare and powerful new equipment such as masks, weapons mods, mask modifications and a variety of other accessories.
- Weapons and Modifications: A brand new arsenal for the serious heister covering everything from sniper and assault rifles to compact PDWs and SMGs. Once players have settled for a favourite, they can modify it with optics, suppressors, fore grips, reticles, barrels, frames and stocks - all of which will affect the performance of their weapon. There are also purely aesthetic enhancements - why not go for the drug lord look with polished walnut grips for your nine?
- Mission Assets: Every job has a set of purchasable assets that can alter and enhance the heist such as a faster escape car, blueprints or even inside help.
- Character Upgrades: The signature Payday mask can now be customised into tens of thousands of different combinations, colour and material variations and there is a bigger selection of gear to wear for the discerning high-fashion heister.
- Multistage Jobs: Many contracts feature several separate stages allowing for mission forks and different outcomes depending on what the players accomplish in each individual stage.

Pure online experience
I'm not into multiplayer due to absence of time. Still bought Payday 2 since robbing banks was my dream job since childhood (doing console / PC games instead, which is much more boring than playing them). Played quite a bit with bots and wanted to throw away the disk - quite boring and bots aren't really bright. But then I tried multiplayer - this is where this game shines. Chances to face good co-op players are quite high, so team work is not something unusual here. Which is the only option here, really - separating and doing your own things won't keep you alive for long (especially when you are doing so-called "pro jobs"). I highly recommend this game to everyone loving co-op experience and tactical approach. Running guns blazing is not what this game is all about - you have to think, be careful and precise to pull some jobs. Anyway, if we don't take the single player experience in mind, there are a few drawbacks. Usually you spend 5-10 minutes to join your first game. Hard to say why - you see games with available sits, you connect quickly, you set your status to "ready" when in the lobby and later on you get a message about some people not being able to join is. Really annoying. However, pro jobs lack this issue completely, so hard to say what's going on there. The second issue in my opinion is the price level of guns and upgrades. They cost a lot. Sure you need to spend your stolen money on something, but the prices are too extreme on some things. I mean when you just start your career - you have a simple gun, no armor and pulling jobs is quite hard. Later on it gets easier as you progress. My guess is that the game creators wanted to show that the more you rob, the more you gain and the better equipment you can get. This is probably like it is in real life - you are not well equipped when robbing your first bank (which said "no" to a loan you wanted to take to rob then while having advanced equipment). But at least gun prices could have been closer to real life. Anyway, these are 2 rather minor drawbacks which can't keep you away from buying this game. It's good...it really is.

Boring and repetitive
I saw several high rated review for this game, so I bought it for me and two other friend to play together. I have to say I'm quite disappointed. It's quite fun for the first 2 hours, then is very boring. You have to play A LOT to improve the characters and stealth action is nearly impossible (at least until you unlock high level abilities). You'd give it a try but only if you have friends to play with, AI is awful! Not recommended, anyway.

Co-op Gold
I would highly recommend Payday 2, in spite of the graphics being quite poor and the A.I being broken and almost pointless. Payday 2 is great fun when played with friends, it has good missions and a reward system.

As good as the original Payday: The Heist game!
I've been waiting for Payday 2 since I began playing the original Payday: The Heist, after having downloaded it. The graphics on the Xbox 360 are excellent and gameplay is addictive enough to keep you interested right throughout the game. For me, there was the right amount of violence in this game, but it was not too graphic and did not spoil the action - some games go overboard with guts and gore but I like the way you can turn killing options off and you can "sneak" your way through levels. All-in-all, Payday 2 is well worth the 5 star rating I give it!

A Co-Op Corker!
A brilliant game for co-op! Get some friends online together and this game is great fun, not the greatest graphics, not the slickest mechanics, but a real good game for co-op play. It's let down by terrible AI in single player/campaign mode, but, overall, worth it for the online/team/co-op experience!
