Excellent sequel for Shattered Dimensions

Good, epic game
Spider-Man: Edge of Time is a great game and has some very interesting and epic scenarios. I cannot find any fault whatsoever, well done Marvel and Beenox for developing one of the best Spiderman games ever.

Edge of time, not edge of seat.
Zavvi delivered the product quick and at the cheapest price I could find. The review rating has nothing to do with service. This review is focused on the game itself. Spider man Edge of Time, is the sequel to the previous years successful release Shattered Dimensions. There was no movie tie-in's restricting either of these titles so Beenox where able to branch out and create there own telling of the superhero. Previous Spider-man games were open world games where you were free to swing around a city scape and complete various goals, since Beenox took over the development (after Activision's Web of Shadows) they focused more on the story aspects of the Spider-man universes, and did this be removing the city and just giving more detailed levels to play through. The first attempt Shattered Dimensions did this wonderfully giving an even mix of platform and combat, with interesting set pieces and boss battles. They also gave you different ways to play, like it says in the title the Dimensions are Shattered and in this lore point you can play 4 different Spider-men in 4 unique universes, each with its own story points and style. Shattered Dimension was a great game and a step forward for both Beenox and Spiderman. Unforgivable Activision the publisher, insisted Beenox release another game fast, and a year later Edge of Time was release. A lot of the time and effort put into Shattered Dimension was lost for Edge of Time, and it suffered poorly from it. Instead of more and better, it opted for less and the same, it focused on only one location rather then the previous 8 or 9. and only 2 Spider-men rather then 4. There are a lot of great moments, which are sadly forgot after you do the same task over, and over again. Instead of thinking of a different way to progress it just repeats the same mechanics. Is it a terrible game, no. Is it worth full price, again no. Luckily Zavvi offered the game at a low price, and one I felt was fair for the experience I received.
