Spectrum

Well built machine with Bluetooth . Gutted it doesn't have jet PAC, lunar jetmsn or attic attack which were my favs from childhood. Rest of the games are ok and play great.

Look an feel exactly like the original! I like the bluetooth capability to use it as a keyboard for a smart tv fo example. I hope they distribute the apple tv app soon. It is a pity you are not able to store files on the device itself without having to use an app

Old Skool gaming.

I tried this at the gadget show this year and feel in love. It brought back memories from my childhood. I have preordered this and can't wait for it to arrive. I can connect to you iPad and TV. So go on get one and remember the times when games were games :)

Is this really as great as it seems? Goodness knows I hope so!

I nearly drooled at the prospect of owning and using one of these wonderful consoles, memories resurfaced and danced in my mind. Will this device allow the multitudes of enthusiasts and retro-geeks to access already available files from the internet? I suspect not as the device has been "optimised"; is that C++ for £ signs? That little apprehension aside I intend using it in a far more constructive way in my professional career. I intend using this treasure of a device for teaching programming to primary aged children. As a teacher I have been pointed in many directions to teach coding to minors, but Scratch just doesn't cut it, there are only so many ways you can programme a cat to move around a screen and make noises! BASIC is the inspiration for so many contemporary programming languages but manages to retain its functionality using only a handful of commands. It makes more sense that C++ or other languages, even python becomes too complex the further you delve into the language. BASIC, slow as it was and still probably is, is definitely the route down which I intend to educate my pupils.....I might also show the Manic Miner or Galaxian whilst I'm on with it...if they are available to play of course!
