It'd been six years, an epoch in metal years, since Raleigh's Corrosion Of Conformity had released an album when they unleashed "Blind" on an unsuspecting public in 1991. CoC stalwarts Woody Weatherman and Reed Mullin were joined by a trio of fresh faces for their bow on Relativity Records, including rhythm guitarist Pepper Keenan.
Their follow-up to the thrash classic "Animosity" saw CoC embrace their Southern roots, and establish, along with the Melvins and Buzzoven, the soon-to-be beloved subgenre of sludge metal. Available via Sony/RED Music's Legacy imprint, here's a great standard pressing of this metal classic.
