A 100% graphite racket combining AEROGEL and new 4D BRAIDED technology. The Aerogel 4D 3HUNDRED is the ideal racket for advanced/good club players who require exceptional touch and feel from a light weight racket. 4D BRAIDED technology has been added at strategic locations which improves stability, greatly enhancing touch/feel, making the racket easier to control.
Aerogel
Aerogel is a truly space age material. It is the world's lightest solid and has strength of up to 4,000 times its own weight. The three-dimensional nanometer-sized molecular network delivers an unmatched strength to weight ratio for enhanced stiffness and increased power.
- Creates a more solid feel at the point of ball contact, for superior touch.
- Reduces vibration within the racket frame for exceptional comfort.
The end result is a racket that produces superior ball speed without forgoing accuracy or control.
Aerogel 4D
The new 4D BRAIDED technology complements AEROGEL by integrating four directional braided superlight S-glass fibres into the racket frame. One layer of 4D is able to perform the job of 4 layers of a traditional racket layup. Multi directional fibres allow racket stresses to be managed by a single layer of 4D cloth, ensuring enhanced frame stability. As a single layer of cloth is significantly softer than using multiple layers, the touch and feel engineered into a Dunlop racket is not compromised. The use of 4D BRAIDING ensures that the racket can be strengthened without affecting racket weight or playability.
The 4D BRAIDED technology minimizes torsional twist of the frame caused by off-centre impacts. 4D BRAIDED technology is implemented at two key locations to improve the performance of the AEROGEL racket. The five and seven o’clock regions were identified as a key region of frame instability and therefore 4D braiding was used to improve stability. 4D BRAIDING was also integrated at three and nine o’clock regions to reduce the frame twist from racket impacts. 4D BRAIDING™ ensures increased racket control. Dunlop frames have been specifically engineered to be softer in the hitting zone (three and nine o’clock). This provides greater touch and feel upon contact with the ball. AEROGEL 4D rackets are engineered to give great touch and feel.
