The Byron drinks mug from Contigo is a functional stainless steel mug designed with a plethora of practical features. The Byron has a no-spill and no-leak construction aided by the patented SNAPSEAL technology and has a special reservoir so that you can sip your hot drink. One- handed drinking whilst multi-tasking is made easier due to the easy sliding lever. Snap the lever up to drink and down to seal.
Internally, the mug has double-walled stainless steel insulation that helps keep liquids at the desired optimum temperature: hot for up to 6 hours or cold for up to 12 hours. The lid is safe to be washed on the top rack of a dishwasher and hand washing is recommended for the body. The portable travel mug fits most standard car cup holders and is perfect for daily use or picnics and longer journeys.

I ordered this in great anticipation. Firstly, it's one of the largest volumes out there - great for the morning coffee to last me til lunch. I bought it for my boyfriend last year and he was super pleased with it but I've waited til now to justify paying so much for a mug. Now I've got it? I'm pretty much pleased, though as ever would like it cheaper. It is leak-proof, as long as you've screwed the lid on in a particular way - I went to demonstrate it's effectiveness after someone had made me a scalding tea at work - shook it and got scalded. The snapseal is very good. Perhaps a little too good as my weak hands need both thumbs to open it. It does seal well though. One thing it is excellent at is heat retention. I made a hot drink mid morning and forgot about it. I went to try it mid-evening and it was still hot. Ideal. One thing to be careful of is if any pressure builds up, it will puff hot steam in your face on opening. Overall, sleek, sturdy, good capacity, excellent heat retention and I'm pleased with the purchase.
