I have not used the charge kit yet. However I have opened it and it's of very good quality, same material quality of the xbox one and it's controller.

Xbox One Play and Charge Kit
Managed to kill my normal batteries in 3 days, so this was needed. Performs allot like the 360 version. Atleast you can used it wired and your controller will always be on!
