Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer Has Finally Landed

Season 7 Trailer

Game of Thrones has kept us waiting a little longer than usual, allegedly delaying the filming schedule to film through the winter months. Season 7 will also be a little different to most of the other seasons, too. The episode count for Season 7 will axe the usual 10-Episode deal that we usually get. Instead, we will be getting a slightly shorter season with a bigger budget.

Consisting of 7 episodes, Game of thrones Season 7 will reach far past the point at which the books finished so we will be going into completely uncharted territory. After the explosive ending of Season 6 with The Battle of the Bastards and The Winds of Winter, Season 7 is shaping up to be just as huge as the last one. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B Weiss have stated in previous interviews that the reason for this was due to wanting to bring the budgets for each episode even higher, to make for a grander production that will treat audiences to the beginning of the end for the series.

With all the key characters in place, fan-theories have been dominating the internet. The trailer sees us with Dany in what we presume to be Dragonstone, Jon Snow taking the seat as the king of the North in Winterfell, and of course Cersei Lannister in King’s Landing. We were also given a slight teaser as to what the Night’s King is up to. In terms of cameos, it’s been revealed that a slew of artists also have cameos in the upcoming series.

Mastodon’s Brent Hinds will be featured in this season, in addition to Ed Sheeran, members of Bastille and UFC Fighter Conor McGregor also starring. These cameos are not the only new additions to Season 7’s cast, we also see Jim Broadbent in a new role, which is rumoured to be a pretty significant addition to the cast.
