Nice musical but not as good as the original phantom of the opera which is a classic. Worth a watch to follow the story in this sequel.
It's the closure the phantom fans were waiting for so long.
Amazing, fantastic, moving, haunting, wonderful - all of these things and more. I am a real Phantom fan and was concerned after reading comments online regarding this show - have these people actually seen it? I could watch this over and over and never get bored. The Phontom's voice was superb.
What can I say? It's amazing, fantastic, wonderful and so moving. I love this just as much as Phantom of the Opera. I only hope they decide to have a UK tour of this show really soon. I will never tire of watching this and listening to the incredible sound of the Phantom when he sings 'Till I Hear You Sing'. Wow!
I have been waiting for this blu-ray to come out since seeing it on stage early last year. Love Never Dies is a fabulous show, and the blu-ray version does not disappoint. The colours and sharpness of picture draw you into the performance, the sound is crystal clear. Production and stage set is fabulous. Performances of the cast is excellent. The score is seductive, another Webber hit. If you enjoyed the 25th Anniversary concert of Phantom of the Opera, I am sure you will enjoy this, concluding musical.
This is a great story and compliments the show but does not replace seeing it live. It is also worth buying the phantom of the opera 25th anniversary DVD / Blu-ray. Watch that first to get the whole experience. Overall this is a well worthwhile purchase if you want to bring back memories of the show, or you are just a fan.
A good performance filmed in Australia, story a little weak compared to Phantom of the opera. Blu-ray is good quality but lacking many extras.
I purchased the 'Love Never Dies' Blu-Ray with an element of apprehension. Would this really live up to be a classic like the phantom, or at the very least a decent musical? Gladly, I can say yes to both. It plays very well using some of the melodies from the phantom, while still very much retaining its own identity. The music is brilliant; a definate stamp of quality from the Lord Webber. The actors are also very well chosen, with fantastic vocal performances. A visual and music marvel and this will no doubt be back on stage in the UK again soon. Recommended!
